佛罗里达国际大学简介

佛罗里达国际大学位于迈阿密市。该校建于1965年,是佛罗里达州的11所公立大学之一,现有36,000余名学生,是南佛罗里达最大的大学之一。该校下设19个学院,涵盖学科200余个,95%的教师拥有博士或博士以上的学位,教学质量优异,本科教育尤为突出。学校在注重教学质量的同时也非常注重研究的发展,在卡内基基金会的博士教育及研究类大学教学进步的评比中,该校取得优异成绩。该校的会计学院是全美最大的会计学院之一,《美国新闻与世界报道》的专业排名中,该校的国际商务专业名列全美第7,商学院名列全美商学院的25,酒店及旅游管理学院名列全美第6。

城市简介

迈阿密位于佛罗里达半岛东海岸南端,迈阿密运河的入海口,东濒比斯坎湾,西界埃弗格莱兹大沼泽地。市区面积88平方公里,大市区包括迈阿密滩和周围28个城镇,向北几与相距80公里的棕搁滩连为一体,合计面积6237平方公里。迈阿密为亚热带气候,为美国本土冬季最温暖的城市。1月平均气温19.5℃,7月平均气温28.3℃,年平均降水量1290毫米。
